Seek Communications Australia’s leading Internet employment website |
In February 2000 SEEK Communications, having undertaken extensive market research, approached Volunteering Australia to discuss the possible development of a volunteer recruitment site on their website. SEEK soon became a key member of a steering committee (with Volunteering Australia and The Boston Consulting Group) that was quickly formed to advance the development of Australia’s first national on-line volunteer recruitment site. Over a four-month period SEEK assigned extensive staff and resources to the project to create GoVolunteer and the SEEK front-end version of this, SEEK Volunteer, at www.volunteer.com.au. SEEK not only developed the software for the site, but also continue to host the site, further develop features within it and include their staff in volunteer events featured as Special Events on GoVolunteer. We would like to thank SEEK for their on-going and generous support.
